Gautam Adani calls on Jagan
Vijayawada: Adani Group founder and chairman Gautam Adani called on Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the latter’s camp office in Vijayawada on Thursday.
Sources in Chief Minister’s Office say the CM and Adani discussed several projects that are being implemented by the latter’s group in AP, including 15,000 mw capacity renewable power projects in five districts of Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram.
When AP government organised the Global Investors’ Summit in Visakhapatnam in March, Gautam Adani could not attend it. His son Karan Adani participated in the GIS and committed to set up in AP two new cement manufacturing units, a data centre and the renewal power projects.
As Gautam Adani could not attend the GIS, he called on Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday to further discuss his group’s plans in AP.
Earlier, the Adani group founder arrived at Vijayawada International Airport by a special flight from Ahmedabad.
