Vijayawada: Two minor girl students of a government school in Krishna district, who went missing on Saturday, returned home on Sunday morning.
According to Kankipadu police, the girls, studying in class eight at Edupugallu government school in Krishna district, informed their parents about leaving for their school on Saturday morning.
However, they went instead to Vijayawada railway station and boarded a train going to Visakhapatnam. The girls planned to quit their homes as they were being forced to do house chores and were being reprimanded frequently by their parents.
After reaching Visakhapatnam, the girls had second thoughts. They left the port city and returned home early in the morning on Sunday.
The girl’s parents had by then lodged a complaint of their girls missing with Kankipadu police. They returned to police and informed them that their daughters had returned home.
