Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court has directed the Hussaini Alam police to not take coercive steps against Megharani Agarwal, practicing advocate and BJP candidate from Charminar, in relation to an FIR registered during an election rally.
The police had booked Megharani and others on the charges of causing nuisance and disturbance while filing the nomination papers. The police have already issued Section 41-A CrPC notice to her. As her response was delayed, and fearing action by the police, she has approached the court seeking protection.
