Palm oil factory to benefit farmers in Warangal
Warangal: The palm oil factory that will be set up in the district soon will benefit farmers who choose palm cultivation in the district, said Jyothi, the district horticulture and silk industries department officer, in a statement released here in Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.
For the first time in the state, Pre-Unique India Private Limited will establish a palm oil factory in the district for the convenience of farmers. Farmers can cultivate palm oil plants and reap benefits, she said.
She said, “Officials are looking for a suitable location for the factory. Following its establishment, at least four to five purchasing centres will be established in the mandals to purchase the palm oil products. The transportation costs from purchasing centres to factories will be borne by the company. Without any doubt, farmers can cultivate palm oil plants and reap benefits of Rs 9,650 per acre through intercropping.”
