ACB Raids Chittoor Motor Vehicle Inspector, Unearths Crore-Worth Assets
Tirupati: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the residence of a Chittoor district motor vehicle inspector, Ratakonda Venkata Madhusudhan, seizing assets worth several crores following a disproportionate assets complaint.
Acting on DGP K.V. Rajendranath Reddy’s directions, the ACB Central Investigation Unit raided Madhusudhan's Tirupati house and four other locations across Madanapalle, Palamaner, Chittoor, and Bengaluru on December 28.
"Searches yielded numerous immovable assets, cash, gold, silver, and other valuables exceeding his known income," the ACB said in a Friday release.
Seized assets include a flat, a guest house, over 20 open plots, and 23 acres of agricultural land registered under his, his wife's, and his father's names. Additionally, the ACB recovered over ?81 lakh in gold, Rs 10 lakh bank balance, Rs 5.1 lakh cash, 3 four-wheelers, a motorcycle, appliances, and silverware, cumulatively valued over Rs 1 crore.
Post-investigation, Madhusudhan was sent to Nellore ACB and will face a special court. Further investigations are ongoing.
