Anantapur: An UK-based NRI aged 86 died of Covid at Puttaparthi Super Speciality hospital in Satya Sai district. He has been a resident of UK and has been residing at Puttaparthi in service of Sri Satya Saibaba for the past few years.
Sources said he was admitted to Super Specialty hospital of Puttaparthi one week ago due to age-related issues.
The NRI Bhaskar Joshi reportedly died of illness and was also reportedly diagnosed with Covid positive. Bhaskar Joshi, NRI from the UK has been dedicated to the service of Satya Sai Baba for many years.
Meanwhile, four positive cases were reported in Anantapur district where two positive cases were reported from Anantapur city – one case from Ramnagar and another case from Kodimi and also another woman with positive from Kalyandurg.
Anantapur Government General Hospital superintendent Dr K.Venkateswar Rao said a separate ward would be set up for Covid patients at Anantapur General Hospital to provide medical services.
