VIJAYAWADA: Additional director general of police (AP CID) N. Sanjay disclosed that in continuation of their investigation in cases registered against Margadarsi Chit Fund Pvt. Ltd. (MCFPL), Crime Investigation Department has conducted searches at 37 places of the company in the state on Saturday.
The searches had been conducted at MCFPL branches in Vijayawada, Guntur, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram, Mandapeta, Samalkota, Eluru, Bhimavaram, Tanuku, Machilipatnam and Gudivada.
Sanjay said 37 teams of AP CID carried out extensive searches of financial records and documents at the MCFPL branches in Tenali, Narasaraopet, Ongole, Chirala, Nellore, Vedayapalem, Kadapa, Proddatur, Chittoor, Tirupathi, Kurnool and Anantapur.
It is said the CID teams have found violations in records.
