Visakhapatnam: One woman was injured when an explosion took place at a cracker unit, identified as Sri Kanaka Durga crackers, at Gavidipeta village under Devuni Kanapaka in Gurla mandal of the district on Saturday evening. At least six sheds were reduced to rubble in the blast. An autorickshaw was blown off 200 feet away from the unit due to the impact of the blast. However, many lives were saved as the blast took place after 200 workers left the unit at 5 pm after completing their duty shift on Saturday.
