House-To-House Outreach with Booklets Helps YSRC to Consolidate Support of Masses
VIJAYAWADA: YSRC president and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s strategy of sending MLAs to every house under his party’s mass outreach programme is likely to benefit the ruling party in the coming assembly polls.
They are reminding the beneficiaries of welfare schemes about the benefits thereof, through distribution of booklets to their homes. The party hopes this would help it meet the CM’s 'Why Not 175' target.
The CM told the party MLAs that they should also get to know other issues and problems of the people through personal interaction and solve those, thereby helping consolidate the people’s support to the YSRC. “Frequent interaction will help both the party and the legislators,” he has said.
The ruling YSRC MLAs are continuously moving around and meeting the public, resolving their issues by utilizing the special funds allotted by the Jagan government under the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam programme and also participating in the Jagananna Suraksha programme that was aimed to provide 11 types of certificates free of cost, including the residence and income certificates.
Many benefits are reaching the people in the past four years. A family in Vijayawada city, for instance, was benefited with Rs 10,66.381 worth of government schemes. Beneficiaries B Srilakshmi and D Mani said the MLAs were presenting booklets to every house explaining the details of the welfare schemes and the benefits thereof. “Generally, people will forget about the gains they received, but the booklet will help them store such details in their memory for a long time.
MLAs Malladi Vishnu, Md Mustafa, Alla Ramakrishna and others who were extensively performing the mass interaction programme have said that this gave a big chance to every MLA and leader to explain the good deeds of the Jagan government to the people.
