Read extensively, AP HC judge tells lawyers
VISAKHAPATNAM: AP High Court judge Akula Venkata Sesha Sai advised the young lawyers to read extensively and exercise the legal issues to shine in their judicial career.
Addressing a seminar organised by State Bar Council in association with Vizianagaram Bar Association in Vizianagaram on Saturday as the chief guest, the judge said the lawyers should get acquainted with the new laws and amendments and keep abreast of the latest developments in the judiciary.
He advised the senior lawyers to share their experience and expertise with the young lawyers so that a strong foundation could be laid for the system.
He said Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra Bar Councils were ahead of other states in organising this kind of seminar for the benefit of the lawyers. This kind of seminar needs to be more often organised Another judge of the high court Duppala Venkatraramana while speaking on the importance of the seminars said new developments in the legal system could be discussed in these gatherings.
He opined there were few judges from the legal fraternity from Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. He also advised the young lawyers to improve their English and legal language and told them to read English newspapers regularly.
State Bar Council chairman Ganta Rama Rao said lawyers played a key role in the freedom movement and this should be continued by the young lawyers.
District judge of Vizianagaram B. Sai Kalyan Chakravarthy said that young lawyers and law students should make use of these seminars.
Later high court judges U Durga Prasada Rao, Ch Manavendranath Roy and K Srinivas Reddy spoke on various issues in the seminar.
