Kurnool Veteran Swimmer Bags 4 Medals
Kurnool: During the recent international swimming championships held in Dubai, M.L. Srinivasa Reddy, a resident of Kurnool, showcased his exceptional swimming prowess and garnered several medals. This event, which took place on October 27 and 28, was a part of the masters swimming competition organised by the Hammer Sports Organisation, drawing participants from various countries.
Originally hailing from Siddanagattu village in the Peapully mandal of Nandyal, Srinivasa Reddy has made Kurnool his home and established himself as a prominent lawyer. He holds a distinguished position as a life member of the Kurnool District Sports Authority Swimming Pool.
Srinivasa Reddy has consistently excelled in swimming competitions at district, state, national, and international levels, consistently bringing home medals. In the 64-65 age category, he participated in five swimming events during the Dubai competition, demonstrating exceptional skills in four of them. He clinched the first position, securing gold medals in the 50m freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke events, along with a second-place finish in the 100m breaststroke, earning a silver medal for India.
Lakshminarayana Reddy, the State Secretary of the Masters Swimmers Association, and other officials commended him for his remarkable achievements.
