Regional Sports Meets to begin on December 5

Vijayawada: Chadalavada Nagarani, Commissioner of the Technical Education Department and chairman of the State Technical Education and Training Council underlined that sports are the only field that teaches essential life skills about endurance and patience.

While unveiling the poster for the 26th Inter Polytechnic Sports and Games Meet 2023-2024 at the State Technical Education Commissionerate on Wednesday, she emphasised the value of sports in fostering mental and physical wellness. Nagarani said that the Anantapur Government Polytechnic will host this sports festival from January 4th to 6th of next year.

In addition, Nagarani revealed that regional sports and games meets will be held in various parts of the state from December 5 to 9 this year. She explained that the program is designed to foster the development of true leadership and sportsmanship among students in polytechnics across the state.

The commissioner emphasized that participation in sports not only contributes to physical fitness but also enhances social alertness. The event saw the involvement of V Padma Rao, Joint Director of the Technical Education Department, and other officers.
