Vijayawada: The AP government has brought in a special portal https://poa.apcfss.in through which scheduled castes and tribes can lodge complaints about atrocities against them from anywhere in the country.
Disclosing this on Thursday, NTR district collector Dr. S. Dilli Rao said the portal will help the state government implement the SC, ST (Prevention of Atrocity) Act more effectively.
He explained that based on nature of the complaint received on the portal, it will be sent to officials concerned immediately. For example, if the complaint is related to an atrocity, it will be sent to the police department. In case it is about compensation, it would be sent to the revenue department.
Dilli Rao said officials of departments concerned will log in and take necessary steps to resolve the issues. The status of the issue will be updated from time to time. Complainants can know the status of their complaints through the available link and would be monitored by the concerned department authorities.
