Ex-DSP Nalini Meets Revanth, Seeks Support for Veda Centre
Hyderabad: Former DSP D. Nalini, who quit her job in combined Andhra Pradesh to join the Telangana statehood agitation in 2009, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, here on Saturday and informed him of her plans to start a Veda
Centre.
In a meeting held with police officials on December 15, the Chief Minister had enquired about the possibility to re-instate Nalini into police service. He had said Nalini sacrificed her job for statehood.
After meeting the Chief Minister at the Secretariat here on Saturday, Nalini told mediapersons that she thanked Revanth Reddy for offering her a job in the police department or in any other government department in the same rank.
She said she politely turned down the CM's offer, stating that she had dedicated her life to the teachings of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati.
She told the Chief Minister about her plans to set up a Veda Centre in the state and sought financial support from the government instead of offering her a government job.
She said the Chief Minister responded positively to her request and assured to look into the issue.
