Anantapur: Food Poisoning at SRIT College Hostel, 26 Students Hospitalised

Bukkarayasamudra: Twenty six engineering students fell ill due to food poisoning. The incident took place at the SRIT Engineering College hostel under Bukkarayasamudram mandal of Anantapur district.

On Tuesday night, the students ate tomato rice and curd along with egg. Few hours later, 26 students are said to have taken ill and were shifted to Amaravati Hospital in Anantapur for treatment.

The condition of seven of them is said to be serious and they are being treated in the ICU. A few other students who experienced mild symptoms are being treated at the hostel itself, reports said.
