Six workers injured in furnace explosion at steel plant in Odisha
BHUBANESWAR: As many as six workers were injured after an explosion in the blast furnace of GM Iron Plant at Kulei under Dhenkanal’s Parjang Police limits on Wednesday.
As per reports, furnace number three blew up due to unknown reasons while the workers were on duty at the plant. Following the blast, the injured were rushed to a private hospital at Banarapal in Angul for treatment.
The plant authorities locked up the plant after the explosion and no contact could be established with them for comments in connection with the matter.
However, the police reached the spot and started a probe in this regard.
