TTD chairman, EO unveil booklets for upcoming Brahmotsavams at Tirumala
Tirupati: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, and the TTD executive officer, A.V. Dharma Reddy, unveiled the Brahmotsavams booklet in front of the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. The event marks the commencement of preparations for the annual Brahmotsavams, a grand religious festival celebrated with immense fervour at Tirumala.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, TTD chairman Karunakar Reddy informed that the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, will personally present silk vastrams (sacred clothes) to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the state government. This event will take place on the inaugural day of the annual Brahmotsavams, which is scheduled to commence on September 18.
The chairman emphasised that multiple departments within TTD are working collaboratively to ensure the success of the twin mega-religious festivals slated for September and October. The first set of festivities, the annual Brahmotsavams, will be held from September 18 to 26. Subsequently, the Navaratri Brahmotsavams are scheduled to take place between November 15 and 23.
The TTD chairman declared that during both the Brahmotsavams celebrations, no VIP break darshan recommendation letters would be accepted. This decision is aimed at providing equal opportunities for all devotees to witness the divine proceedings. He assured that every conceivable effort will be undertaken to enhance the darshan experience for common devotees. This includes streamlined arrangements for Vahana Sevas, accommodation facilities, Annaprasadam, laddus, and enhanced security measures.
TTD JEO V. Veerabrahmam, chief priests of Tirumala temple Venugopala Deekshitulu and Krishna Seshachala Deekshitulu, deputy executive officer temple R. Lokanatham, and other officials were present on the occasion.
