Hyderabad: Dr Komal Kapoor has taken over as chief executive of Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) on Saturday following the retirement of Dr Dinesh Srivastava on superannuation. Dr Kapoor will also be the Chairman of NFC Board. Earlier he was holding the position of Additional Chief Executive, NFC.
A metallurgical engineer from the Punjab University, Dr Kapoor joined the 33rd batch of BARC Training School, Mumbai in 1989. He is an adjunct professor at the Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai and guest faculty at the University of Hyderabad (UoH).
Dr Kapoor was instrumental in manufacture and supply of a variety of seamless tubes for the strategic applications of department of atomic energy and of the departments of space and defence.
