WARANGAL: Three children belonging to the Warangal and Hanamkonda cities have tested positive for Covid-19 at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Hospital in Hanamkonda district on Saturday.
Hospital superintendent V. Chandrasekhar Rao said that six children from the
twin cities were admitted to the hospital complaining cold, cough and fever,
the symptoms of Covid. The doctors collected samples from them and sent them
to the virology laboratory at the Kakatiya Medical College for conducting
RT-PCR tests, which revealed the Covid infection in the children, he said.
They were kept in the designated 20-bed Covid ward set up for the infected
children in the paediatric ward of the hospital and were under medical
supervision by a team of doctors, he added.
