Dharmana Promises to Resolve Anganwadi Workers Issues
Visakhapatnam: Revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao assured the striking Anganwadi workers that he would personally bring their concerns to the attention of government representatives and pledged to take the initiative to resolve their demands including job security and a salary hike.
Addressing the Anganwadi workers in Srikakulam on Saturday, Prasada Rao highlighted the government’s dedication to uplift marginalised communities and assured that necessary steps would be taken to meet their demands.
Acknowledging the ongoing discussions with various sections of society, Prasada Rao said that Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to the welfare of all sections. He emphasised the importance of holding dialogue and argued for the allocation of funds to meet the needs of the lower classes.
Regarding the specific demands of Anganwadi workers, he recognised the validity of their request for decent pay and job security. He further pointed out the government was making efforts to address issues related to promotions, and improvements made in Anganwadi centres, including the construction of new facilities.
