Hyderabad Police Commissioner Announces Traffic Restrictions for Id ul-Fitr Prayers
HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy has issued traffic restrictions near Mir Alam Tank and Masab Tank to facilitate congregational prayers for Id ul-Fitr that is to be celebrated later this week.
According to the advisory, traffic from Puranapul, Kamatipura, Kishanbagh, Shivarampally, Danamma Huts and Kalapather towards the Mir Alam idgah will be allowed from Bahadurpura crossroads, Danamma Huts crossroads and Kalapather police station from 8 am to 11.30 am. He also parking lots had been earmarked at crucial junctions.
For the prayers to be held at the hockey ground in Masab Tank, traffic from Mehdipatnam and Lakdikapul towards Banjara Hills would be diverted through Sant Nirankari Bhavan, Khairatabad RTA Office and Taj Krishna Hotel. Traffic from Banjara Hills Road No. 12 will be diverted towards RTA Khairatabad
Heavy vehicles, including RTC buses, coming from Puranapul, Shamshabad, Rajendranagar and Mailardevpally towards Bahadurpura will be diverted until the congregation disperses after prayers from the Mir Alam Idgah.
