Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Central prison staff foiled the proposed indefinite hunger strike by Jallipalli Srinivasa Rao, the accused in the rooster knife attack on Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“We told him hunger strikes and dharnas will not be allowed in jail premises,’’ said superintendent of Visakhapatnam Central Prison Kishore Kumar. He said Srinivas has been kept in a cell and has been eating his normal food like other inmates.
Counsel of Srinivas Salim Abdus said his mother Savitri and elder brother Subba Raju were on an indefinite hunger strike in Vijayawada.
