Karnataka: CM Siddaramaiah Celebrates Yoga Day at JSW Township

Ballari: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah participated in the International Day of Yoga at JSW Township Vidyanagar in Toranagallu on Friday morning.

The event was organized by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, and the District AYUSH Department.

Sri Vachanananda Swamiji of Harihara Panchamasali Peetha demonstrated various yoga asanas to the Chief Minister, dignitaries, children, and the public.

Emphasizing the benefits of daily yoga practice, Swamiji encouraged everyone to incorporate yoga into their routines to improve health and maintain energy throughout the day.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah actively participated in the yoga session, performing various asanas with enthusiasm.

Adding to the event's charm was noted Kannada-Telugu film actress Sreeleela, whose presence attracted significant attention. Sreeleela joined the yoga event and expressed her happiness at being part of the celebrations.

"I am very happy to meet all of you on this occasion. I am grateful for the love you have shown me. Regular yoga practice will enhance your health," she said.

She enthusiastically took selfies, capturing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the event attendees in the background. The scene was filled with excitement as children and other attendees eagerly rushed to take selfies with the actress.

Artist Manjunath Govindawada from Ballari district presented a painting of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to him. On the occasion, Siddaramaiah unveiled a huge painting of 12th-century poetess Akkamahadevi.

The yoga celebrations drew thousands of students, children, and the general public.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Labour Minister Santosh S Lad and MP E Tukaram.
