Langur mauls woman in Kakinada
Kakinada: A langur mauled a woman, Ch. Satyaveni, at Chebrolu village in Gollaprolu mandal of Kakinada district on Tuesday. The woman suffered severe injuries and was admitted to Government General Hospital at Kakinada.
Knowing about the incident, Kakinada MP Vanga Githa instructed the forest officials to sort out the langur and monkey menace in the village. Forest beat officers Y. Babu Rao and P. Lavanya and panchayat secretary Srinivas searched for the langurs and monkeys in the village.
They said that the problem would be sorted out after identifying the habitations of these animals.
