Hyderabad: In a strange turn of events, a man in Uttar Pradesh had gone to steal from a house in inebriated condition on Sunday and fell asleep after switching on the air conditioner.
Going into details, the incident happened in Lucknow in a doctor's house. A man went to steal from the house after knowing that the doctor is out of town. He slowly went and discovered the 'AC' in the living room. The drunk man thought of taking a quick nap before committing to steal and woke up only after the police disturbed his sleep.
A neighbor, who became suspicious after seeing the gate being open, informed the police.
Lucknow police took him into custody and have confirmed that he entered the house with an intention to steal and fell asleep. Further investigation is underway.
