Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has requested the BJP leadership to relieve him of his ministerial duties.
Devendra Fadnavis in a press conference said that he will take the responsibility for the results in Maharashtra and requested to relieve him of his duties so that he work hard for the party in upcoming elections.
"I take the responsibility for such results in Maharashtra. I was leading the party. I am requesting the BJP high command to relieve me from the responsibility of the government so that I can work hard for the party in upcoming elections," he said.
This comes after BJP's poor performance in Maharashtra, where it was able to 9 seats comparatively to 23 in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.
