Thane (Maharashtra): A man died while playing cricket in a stadium on Mira Road at Thane in Maharashtra on Monday.
Seconds after hitting a massive shot, the cricket player suddenly collapsed beside the stumps. The wicket keeper and other players rushed to his rescue and performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) but in vain as he died on the spot.
The cricket lovers, who were watching the match at the stadium, were shocked on seeing the batsman collapsing suddenly. The video of the incident with hashtags Maharashtra, cricket and viral video, went viral on various social media platforms.
Reacting to the incident, a netizen tweeted saying, “That's a cardiac arrest, poor guy had no chance. Modi 3.0 government needs to form a committee to study these untimely deaths. The situation is getting out of hands.”
