MP: Man, Accused of Raising Anti-India Slogan, Chants Bharat Mata Ki Jai as per Court Order

Bhopal: A man, accused of raising anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans in public, on Tuesday chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ 21 times while saluting the tricolour in a police station here as per a recent directive by the Madhya Pradesh high court.

Faiza Nisar reported at the Misrod police station here at the appointed time on Tuesday and carried out the order of the Madhya Pradesh high court by chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan 21 times while saluting the national flag, in-charge of the Misrod police station Manish Raj Singh said.

Faizal was earlier arrested under section 153 (provoking a riot through illegal means) for raising anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans in a public function on May 17.

A video showing Faizal raising anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans went viral on social media prompting police to take action against him.

He was granted bail by the Madhya Pradesh high court recently with the condition that he would chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogan 21 times while saluting the tricolour in the police station on every second and fourth Tuesday of the month till his case was disposed off.

Besides, he was asked to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

Faizal has 13 criminal cases pending against him.
