Minister Buggana opens ITI hostel in Dhone

Kurnool:Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy on Saturday criticised opposition parties for failing to fulfil their past promises but now luring people with new assurances.

Inaugurating a hostel building constructed at a cost of ₹11 crore at the Government ITI College in Dhone town on Saturday, he underscored plans to modernise the renowned and oldest ITI college with state-of-the-art facilities for the benefit of youth.

Rajendranath Reddy underlined that the roof of Dhone Government ITI College has been made using innovative technology like PUF. Although 30 per cent more expensive than normal slabs, the roof ensures comfort in the summer, maintaining temperatures 4–5 degrees lower than usual, and eliminating the need for fans in other seasons.

The minister said a Kendriya Vidyalaya will be established near Perantalamma Temple on Venkatapuram Road over 11 acres, where classes will start in the next 2–3 years. He mentioned the national highway to Dhone built with an investment of ₹750 crore and construction of a 100-bed hospital at a cost of ₹37 crore.

Attributing these developments to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's commitment to make Dhone a model constituency, he announced plans to bring water to Bethamcherla on January 29. He said drinking water will be made available to the entire constituency by March or April.

Nandyal MP Pocha Brahmananda Reddy said when he first visited Dhone as a member of parliament, it was a backward area of his constituency. However, within four years, it has surpassed other constituencies in terms of development.

Local leaders were also present on the occasion.
