MP govt to introduce e-cabinet system for e-governance
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday decided to introduce an e-cabinet system in the state.
The state cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of chief minister Mohan Yadav decided to promote e-government and e-governance by introducing the e-cabinet system.
“The e-governance will help the government promote a paperless system in the government. Relevant government rules will be changed for the purpose”, state urban development minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said while briefing the deliberations in the cabinet meeting.
In another significant decision, the cabinet approved reorganisation of the Directorate of Financial Management Information System under the finance department.
“This decision will further improve the quality of the financial management in the state”, Mr Vijayvargiya said.
The Directorate of Financial Management Information System has been in existence since 1980.
Through this, continuous monitoring of income and expenditure of the state government, main and supplementary budget of the state, monitoring of the cash balance, debt management and analysis of data has been carried out.
Keeping in view the continuous changes or improvements in the budget process and the need for greater alertness and vigilance in financial transactions, the decision was taken to strengthen the current organisational structure of the Directorate of Financial Management Information System, the minister said.
In another decision, the cabinet approved a hike in the amount for the last rites of ‘Loktantra senani’ (democracy soldiers) who included the MISA prisoners and freedom fighters, from the present amount of Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
The cremation of the deceased ‘Loktantra senani’ will be performed with state honour, the cabinet decided.
