MP: Modi’s thoughtful gesture for students

Reschedules arrival at GIS inaugural function not to cause inconvenience to them

Bhopal: In a thoughtful gesture for students appearing for the 10th and 12th board exams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made a conscious decision to delay his arrival at the inaugural function of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) here not to cause any kind of inconvenience to them to reach the examination Centres due to security arrangements for the VVIP movement in the city.

Mr. Modi delayed his arrival at the venue of GIS by 15 minutes to ensure that students appearing for the 10th and 12th board exams reached their examination Centres without any hindrance due to security arrangements.

The PM himself shared that he adjusted his schedule to avoid disrupting the board exams of 10th and 12th students owing to the VVIP movement in the city.

His announcement was met with applause at the GIS meet here.

He inaugurated the two-day GIS, which kick-started here on Monday.

He wound up his two-day tour to Madhya Pradesh after inaugurating the GIS in the morning.

Around eight lakh students are scheduled to appear for the 10th board exams and around seven lakh students are scheduled to take the 12th board exams in Madhya Pradesh.
