NEET-UG row: SC adjourns plea alleging NTA officers role in OMR sheet manipulation

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned a petition alleging the role of the officers of National Testing Agency (NTA) in manipulating OMR sheets related to NEET-UG 2024.

A vacation bench of the Supreme Court adjourning the matter to next week, had asked the petitioner to withdraw a similar plea that was filed before the High Court.
In a response to the objection raised by the counsel of the respondent (saying that a similar plea was filed before the High Court), the advocate for the petitioner said that, though the matter was mentioned before the High Court, it refused to hear it, citing the Supreme Court is handling the NEET-related issues. He also asserted that the petitioner would not pursue the matter before the High Court.
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which took over the probe, had filed a fresh case in connection with the alleged irregularities in the conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions into various Undergraduate medical courses.
