TG has Full Rights over SCCL: Kishan

New Delhi: Union minister and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy informed Parliament that the Centre has no plans to privatise Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). He averred that the state government owns 51% stake and thus its administration falls entirely on it.

Replying to queries in Parliament he said, “As per policy, all public sector undertakings (PSUs), including Coal India Limited, must participate in open auctions. Even, the coal block allocated to SCCL in Odisha was dormant for 10 years until the BJP government in Odisha intervened, clearing roadblocks and enabling its operations.”

The Modi government supports Singareni's growth and development, reiterating its commitment to collaboration and progress and the welfare of its employees, he added.
