New Delhi: India’s Deputy High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Satyanjal Pandey, is likely to take charge as Charge d’Affaires at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, according to reports.
The development comes in the backdrop of downgraded diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan since 2019, when Islamabad scaled down bilateral engagement.
Relations between the two countries have remained strained over the past decade, with India maintaining that Pakistan has supported cross-border terrorism.
