Thiruvnanthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the death of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, veteran CPM leader and former chief minister of West Bengal, on Thursday.
“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former West Bengal Chief Minister and distinguished CPI(M) leader Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee. Having had the privilege of working alongside him in the CPI(M) Central Committee and the Polit Bureau, his departure feels like a personal loss to me. His contributions to the party and the nation will be remembered with great respect,” the chief minister said in his condolence message.
