PM Modi to visit Bihar for second time to boost BJP’s chances

Political analysts note that Bihar is a critical battleground for all political parties, and the BJP is leaving no stone unturned in its multi-pronged strategy

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make his second visit to Bihar in three trips, as he heads to Madhubani on April 24. The visit, aimed at strengthening the party’s foothold in the state ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled for October-November, will see the Prime Minister interacting with elected panchayat members and dedicating several infrastructure projects to the people of Bihar.

Sources revealed that the visit will also include a public meeting where Modi may address large gatherings, underscoring the importance of Bihar for the BJP. Accompanying the Prime Minister will be Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union home minister Amit Shah, and several senior BJP leaders, all of whom are involved in the extensive preparations to ensure a warm welcome and heightened public enthusiasm.

Earlier this year, Modi visited Bhagalpur on February 24 to launch the 19th installment of the PM KISAN scheme and to unveil projects worth several thousand crores. Following the upcoming Madhubani event, Union home minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Bihar at the end of the month to review the party’s poll strategy and discuss election preparedness with local leaders.

Political analysts note that Bihar is a critical battleground for all political parties, and the BJP is leaving no stone unturned in its multi-pronged strategy. The party is intensifying its efforts in the state’s complex caste dynamics and launching mass awareness campaigns, all aimed at securing another term for the NDA government in Bihar.
