POK Will Reunite with India Automatically, says Rajnath Singh
SAMBALPUR: The Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) belongs to India and it will soon reunite with our country. India will not use any force, but it will automatically return to us as the people in that region have started strongly pleading for returning to India’s mainstream life,’ said defence minister Rajnath Singh.
Mr Singh, while campaigning for party’s Sambalpur Lok Sabha candidate Dharmendra Pradhan and nominees of the seven assembly constituencies, said the "shattered economy" of Pakistan and poor governance system in Pakistan had made the life of POK residents miserable and they were looking for salvation from Pakistan’s regime.
“After the abrogation of Article 370, massive development work has been going on in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). There has been significant development in the life of residents of J&K. People in POK are keenly observing and comparing their conditions with their counterparts in J&K. They have started demanding to get reunified with India,” said Singh.
He added that India does not need to use force or any sort of that as the process of POK reunification with this country will happen automatically.
Stating that BJP believed in honouring its promises and it had delivered on whatever commitments it had made to the people of the country, Singh said people's trust on the party has increased manifold because of its accomplishments.
“We believe in honouring our promises. Be it the abrogation of Article 370 or the construction of the grand Ram Temple at Ayodhya, whatever promises were made by the BJP, have been fulfilled,” said Rajnath Singh.
Singh took potshots at Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) dubbing it as a “non-performer.”
“The Congress ruled Odisha for 50 years and the BJD has been in power here in the state for 25 years. But Odisha has not developed much in the last 75 years as poverty is yet to be eradicated. All the important documents, manuscripts, art, and culture have been lost. I have been told that even the keys of Puri Jagannath temple's Ratna Bhandar are also missing, he said.
Observing that the Modi government had been working for the poor and other backward classes, Singh said, be it pucca houses, cooking gas, toilets, and other facilities, the Centre had done a lot of work to bring a massive transformation in the lives of people.
“It was the BJD government that tried to stop the benefits of Central schemes from reaching the beneficiaries in Odisha. The work for providing pucca houses, toilets, and cooking gas has not progressed much under the BJD rule. Several poor are deprived of availing the benefits of Ayushman Bharat here as the Naveen Patnaik government thinks implementations of such schemes will enhance the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," said Singh.
He added that nobody can stop BJP from coming to power in Odisha and getting 400 Lok Sabha seats as targeted by Modi.
