Liquor scam: Why KCR silent on Kavitha, asks Bandi
HYDERABAD: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had quickly reacted to the arrest of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia but had not spoken about his daughter and BRS MLC K. Kavitha’s name being quoted in the CBI chargesheet in the same liquor scam. Why is this so, he asked.
Sanjay said that CBI had issued notices to Kavitha alleging her involvement in the liquor scam. “All are equal before the law and must face trial,” he said. The BJP was in no way connected with the arrest of Sisodia, Sanjay said while speaking to reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday.
On other issues, he said the party would hold agitations in the state to highlight the problems of people. The party would contest all 119 Assembly constituencies in the state elections, he said.
Sanjay said the party’s base was strengthening from the booth level upwards. He said public meetings will be conducted in all Assembly constituencies. Street corner meetings in Praja Gosa-BJP Bharosa were successful in the state, he said. The BJP is the only party in Telangana agitating on peoples’ problems, Sanjay said.
