Khammam: After her victory in 1999 elections, Congress leader Renuka Chowdary was asked by a media person which gender voted more for her. She answered that youth and men. She repeated the same on Sunday: “Youth are surrounding me everywhere and greeting me. They tell me about their hardships under the TRS government.”
Unemployment increased manifold and government failed to provide jobs to youth. Many MBA, engineering and pharmacy graduates living in villages are waiting for jobs. “The government failed to provide even temporary jobs in projects like Mission Kakatiya. The skilled labourers of Mission Bhagiratha are from other states, not from Telangana state,” she said.
When asked about her strong points in this election, she said that voters are her strength and the Congress had disciplined, sincere and a committed workforce in all mandals and villages. The Congress will organise a nation-wide struggle against defections in TS state and other states after the elections, she said.
