KCR concentrating only on money-spinning departments: Bhatti
WARANGAL: The state government has focused only on those departments from which it could earn huge profits while leaving other equally important departments in the lurch. To make matters worse, the administration lacks transparency, alleged Congress Legislative Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Accompanied by senior leader Ponnala Laxmaiah, Vikramarka started the 45th day of his ‘peoples march’ padayatra from Pembarthy village in Jangaon district on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikramarka alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao was only concentrating on revenue, irrigation and police departments to rob the public money and reducing budgetary allocations to SC, ST, BC and minority departments.
Police officials are misusing their position because of the patronage they are enjoying from BRS leaders of every hue. He cautioned them against a possible backlash from disgruntled students, unemployed youth and intellectuals.
He said that it was unfortunate that when many families are without any shelter and earnings for want of employment, the state government has splurged money on a new secretariat building, which was a monumental waste, he said.
Farmers are staging dharnas demanding the government to purchase food grains, students and unemployed youth are on protest demanding action against those responsible for question paper leakages in the state, contract employees and panchayat secretaries, women and youth are staging dharnas demanding the government to resolve their issues, he pointed out.
People of the state are unhappy with the BRS government, which has not constructed a single major project and has failed to provide water to even a single acre of land. That apart it drove the state into a debt trap, he added.
