KCR turning Telangana into laughing stock across India: Kishan
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in addition to turning himself into a laughing stock on the national stage was doing the same to Telangana which was hurting the state, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy alleged on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Kishan Reddy said this was demonstrated at the joint press meet addressed by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Chandrashekar Rao at Patna on Wednesday.
“Yesterday in Patna, Nitish Kumar got up to leave even as Chandrashekar Rao was speaking to reporters. Nitish Kumar could not listen anymore to KCR and got up to leave. Nitish Kumar was begged to sit down by the Telangana Chief Minister, but he did not. He was laughing at what KCR was saying,” Kishan Reddy claimed.
“Chandrashekar Rao claims he will unite all opposition parties. Yesterday, the two leaders could not sit together. KCR claims that he is the only saviour of the country. That only the Kalvakuntla family can save India,” Kishan Reddy said.
The BJP, he said, had no issues if Chandrashekar Rao wanted to say such things, or criticise the BJP or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The thing is no one in any other state cares for him, be it in UP, Punjab, Bihar, Tamil Nadu or Karnataka. No Chief Minister or opposition leader takes KCR seriously. Instead, people are laughing at him,” Kishan Reddy said. Chandrashekar Rao was under the illusion that everyone was with him, when none was, Kishan Reddy added.
Kishan Reddy said “KCR claims he has an action plan aginst the BJP, which is using Telangana state’s money to distribute in Punjab, Bihar and other states. He had once said that Bihar pays 25 paise in taxes, and gets one rupee in return and called Bihar a robber. So why was he in Bihar? KCR must explain.”
Kishan Reddy alleged, “KCR family is responsible for the recent unrest in Hyderabad having invited a ‘joker’ who insults Hindu gods, provided protection with 2,000 policemen. Where was the need for this? Many states banned him, but Telangana deliberately got him, and that led to tension in the state.”
