BRS schemes failed on all fronts: Kishan

After 90 days, KCR will be confined to his farmhouse: BJP

HYDERABAD: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to unveil many development projects for the state, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao doesn’t have time to join him, BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said on Saturday. He said it was “shameful” that Chandrashekar Rao “who has looted thousands of crores” is criticising Modi. “KCR sits in the farmhouse and tries to do politics.”

He said the development of Secunderabad railway station, Vande Bharat trains, Kazipet railway wagon factory and others were unveiled by the PM. The Centre has given Rs9 lakh crore for the development of Telangana state.

“The people are observing all this. If the BRS leaders cannot deliver, they should sit at their homes, they are going to be confined to their farmhouses after 90 days,” he said at an event where former BRS minister Krishna Yadav and party leader Chittaranjan Das joined the BJP. The others who joined the party were Sirpur ZPTC Rekha Satyanarayana and Bandala Ramachandra Reddy,

He said the BRS government had rendered the education sector ineffective. Welfare activities for the poor were only a namesake affair, he said. Schemes like Dalit Bandhu and promises of three acres for Dalits, jobs for youth unemployment allowance and loan waivers had failed. Neither fee reimbursement nor the Aarogyasri scheme in hospitals is being implemented properly, he alleged.

Shifting focus, he said a vote for the Congress was a vote for the BRS as the leaders will defect to the ruling party after the elections. “The people are not willing to believe the Congress even if they give 60 guarantees. The people of Karnataka are bearing the brunt of Congress rule,” he said.

I request all people to participate in the Swachh Bharat programme on October 1st from 9 am to 10 am in every district, constituency, colony and street, Kishan Reddy said.
