Congress Warranty' Over, People Will Not Believe its Six Guarantees: KTR

Karimnagar: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said that the ‘warranty period’ of the Congress had expired in Telangana and questioned how the people could believe in its six guarantees, while imploring the public not to fall for its deceptive tactics.

Rama Rao was speaking as the chief guest of the Pragathi Nivedhana Sabha at Junior College Ground in Peddapalli district, after launching developmental works worth '134 crore.

The IT minister alleged that the Congress, which sanctioned only Rs 200 pensions during its tenure, was trying to deceive the public with a promise of Rs 4,000 pension, after seeing the BRS government giving pension of Rs 2,000. “If the BRS government promises the same amount, then where will these Congress leaders hide,” he asked.

Listing out the BRS’ achievements, he said: “People used to face a lot of problems, being unable to get water for drinking and for irrigation. But after the formation of the BRS government under the leadership of the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, water is being supplied for two crops (seasons), and to every household with the implementation of Mission Bhagiratha project.”

“Motors and transformers used to burn out due to irregular supply of power during the Congress government. Unlike any others, the BRS government is the only one which supplies 24 hours of power to the farming sector,” he said.

He said that the Congress was making baseless comments about power supply and implored their leaders to make a ground visit and “touch the electricity wires” to realise the truth.

Hailing Chandrashekar Rao as a visionary for introducing Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, Rama Rao attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a Telangana visit, for allegedly making false statements against the BRS.

“He (Modi) must take his words back, since KCR waived farm loans two times in the state,” Rama Rao said.

Continuing his attack on the BJP, Rama Rao said: “Does Modi have the guts to supply free power to the farming sector and waive farm loans to the farmers? But he waived Rs 14 lakh crore to his corporate friend Adani.”

“Modi alleged that family rule is going in the Telangana state. Yes, definitely, it is the family rule which exists in Telangana. All the four crores of population present in the state are family members of CM KCR and as an elder member in the family, he is ruling the state,” Rama Rao said.

“Modi is very much interested in creating communal disputes to get political mileage; he always talking about Hindu and Muslim communities. But in the Telangana state, under the rule of the BRS government, the people of all communities and all castes are treated equally. We never divide Hindu and Muslim and talk against them,” he said.

On a request of Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, Rama Rao also allotted 30 guntas for the construction of community buildings and also an acre each to the Christian and Muslim communities for the construction of burial grounds.

Further, Rama Rao promised to establish a bus depot and create new mandals, especially of urban and rural mandals in Peddapalli.
