Kishan Seeks Action Against BRS, Congress for Money Flow
HYDERABAD: Union tourism minister and state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Thursday alleged that leaders from both the BRS and Congress had distributed liquor and money on a large scale in clear violation of guidelines.
Addressing a press conference, he alleged that police had behaved in a biased manner even as money and liquor were distributed in front of them. Reddy urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take a serious note of it and initiate stern action against all those who were involved.
“We received reports from our cadre that the BRS and Congress activists competed with each other in the distribution of money and liquor. Yet, our cadre, especially youth in villages, worked hard for the victory of the party candidates,” he said.
In some areas, the BRS leaders attacked BJP activists and unleashed terror, he said. In the name of ‘Vijaya Diwas’, the ruling party tried to induce the Telangana sentiment to derive mileage.
Ridiculing ‘false’ campaigns that the BJP and Congress were the same, Reddy said that on the contrary they could show several instances to expose the Congress and BRS togetherness.
Exuding confidence that the party would get good results, Reddy said that they would work with more commitment if voted to power.
