KCR’s misrule pushed state into debt trap: Rajendar
Hyderabad: BJP MLA Etala Rajendar alleged that the misrule of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao threw the prosperous Telangana state into a debt trap. When Telangana state was formed, the state’s debts were Rs 77,000 crore and now it has reached Rs 5 lakh crore, he alleged.
“Ministers K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao are spreading false propaganda of Rs 100 lakh crore of debts taken by the Central government,” he said and dared Rama Rao to an open debate on the subject.
The MLA said at the state party headquarters here on Thursday that Telangana was facing the highest inflation in the country. “The BRS leaders fear losing power and are trying to blame the BJP government. The state government has already cut off its links with people,” he said.
“The Chief Minister claims that he has vast experience in public office and has concern about the woes of people. Inefficiency of KCR has pushed Telangana backward,” he said.
The BJP MLA said that the BRS government had decreased the number of RTC buses, affecting poor students and vendors. “The BJP government allocated funds for railways to make transportation cheaper and available for all. Of the Rs 45 lakh crore Union Budget, Rs 10 lakh crore is allocated for the development of infrastructure,” he said.
Rajendar said that the BRS leaders feel that they can manage with the false propaganda as they did during the Telangana movement. “People of Telangana are wise and they are ready to give a fitting lesson to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members,” he said. The Chief Minister did not conduct meetings with the ministers and not accorded decision making power to them, he alleged.
