Mamata lends her official car for an injured journalist, rides back home on bike
Hyderabad: Political leaders always try to show that they are one of the common people as politics, among many things, is also an art of creating a desired perception.
In the past, we have seen leaders like Indira Gandhi dancing with the tribals. We also see Prime Minister Narendra Modi donning several hats to connect with people. In the run-up to the Karnataka elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi rode a two-wheeler of a gig worker.
Similarly, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a la a Good Samaritan, lent her official car to shift an injured video journalist to a hospital, while she went back home on the journalist's bike as a pillion-rider. A grassroots leader, that Mamata Banerjee is, won the day for herself, with people praising her noble act.
