Jana Sena engaged in manifesto preparation
Vijayawada: The Jana Sena is engaged in manifesto preparation. Party Pres-ident Pawan Kalyan, who is presently in a movie shooting, will have a dialogue with a group of retired civil servants, in the mid- July. It is learnt that he is more interested in portraying self-reliance formulas in his manifesto, rather than luring voters with welfare schemes.
A former civil servant, who was active during Praja Rajyam days, is on the job of arranging a meeting with the like-minded civil servants, according to a party spokesperson.
Though earlier reports suggested that Pawan Kalyan has decided not to give any posts to any one in the party, now democratisation has started in the party, a spokesperson said. The Jana Sena chief contemplated earlier that there would be no structure in the party which decides the ranks of the leaders. It was nothing but conveying the message that Pawan Kalyan would run a one-man show like how he is doing now.
Now, things have changed, and the party chief himself wants to democratise the party and directed his close associates to get in touch with a retired civil servant, in order to arrange a meeting with the likeminded bureaucrats, to have an initial discussion on the party manifesto. In fact, the Jana Sena Chief has picked up few talented writers, from the tests conducted across the State. Even though the party did not announce about what they are going to do with those selected, there are speculations that some of them may be given tickets. So far, Jana Sena has not given clarity as to whether it will have pre-poll alliance with TD or BJP, and perhaps in the manifesto, the Jana Sena may air its views about welfare policies. Most likely, the Jana Sena prefers self-reliance formulas to welfare schemes, according to a party leader.
