Pawan predicts formation of joint government by TD-JS

Demanded the release of a white paper on why thousands of children turned dropouts in the state

VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan resumed the fourth phase of his Varahi yatra from Avanigadda on Sunday, by saying he was ready to be the next chief minister. Telugu Desam’s support for the yatra was meanwhile announced by its general secretary Nara Lokesh.

Pawan addressed a public meeting at the sports ground of the Government Degree College in Avanigadda. He challenged Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to file cases against him but he would continue speaking out against the wrongs of the YSRC government.

Interestingly, without mentioning the JS party’s alliance partner BJP by name, Pawan predicted that the Jana Sena and Telugu Desam would come to power after the elections and that he was ready to accept the CM post happily if it came his way.

He also predicted that the YSRC would win no more than 15 assembly seats out of the 175.

Pawan said that he wished to expose the corruption of the CM vis-a-vis sand exploitation etc., to the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “I believe PM Modi knew about Jagan's corruption of thousands of crores. Hence, I did not lodge a complaint.”

Pawan admitted that the Jana Sena party suffered many blows in these ten years, “but we are running the party only for realizing our ambitions and upholding certain values in public life.”

Pawan claimed that the state was more important to him than his party” Jagan had promised to conduct Mega DSC but deceived the unemployed. The JS will stand by all the teacher candidates who want Mega DSC. Some 3.88 lakh students dropped out during the YSRC term, he said.

The JS leader questioned whether the gross enrollment survey done by the YSRC was true or not and demanded the release of a white paper on why thousands of children turned dropouts in the state.

Pawan said he never had any desire for money or land and said, “I am fighting with a person (Jagan) whose family has been in politics for three generations.

Pawan stated that Jagan says that this election is a battle of Kurukshetra, in which we are Pandavas and those on Jagan’s side are Kauravas. “More than 100 YSRC members are Kauravas and the defeat of Jagan is unavoidable.”
