TD takes out massive procession in TP Gudem
KAKINADA: Telugu Desam leaders and cadres took out a massive procession in Tadepalligudem on Sunday protesting against the arrest of former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu violating the restrictions imposed by police.
Their procession started from Jayalaxmi Theatre to S.V. Ranga Rao Statue via Old Highway junction, RTC bus stand and housing board junction.
Initially, police tried to stop the procession. But the cadres pushed ahead. In the process, Tadepalligudem TD in-charge Valavala Mallikarjuna Rao Babji fell down.
The processionists raised slogans demanding release of Chandrababu Naidu.
Babji said people will teach a flitting lesson to YSRC government for arresting Chandrababu Naidu.
TD state general secretary M. Venkatraju said after assuming power in the coming elections, the Telugu Desam government will review all the decisions taken by the present administration.
Former minister K.S. Jawahar, former MLAs Ganni Veeranjaneyulu, A. Radhakrishna Murty and others were present.
Police, however, put Palakollu MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu under preventive arrest.
