BRS Takes MIM Along at Rallies to Secure Muslim Votes
Nirmal: To secure the Muslim vote bank, the ruling BRS is giving priority to AIMIM leaders in its election campaign by giving them ‘space’ on the dais at its public meetings. This was very much visible at the party’s ‘Praja Ashirvada Sabha’ addressed by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in Nirmal on Thursday.
MIM Nirmal district president and former vice-chairman of Nirmal municipality Azeem Bin Yahya wearing his party stole was seen sitting in the front row on the dais. The MIM has its presence in Nirmal, Mudhole and Adiabad constituencies and elected representatives in the respective municipalities.
According to rough estimates, there are 35,000 Muslim votes in the Nirmal Assembly constituency, 44,000 in Mudhole and 47,000 votes in the Adilabad segment.
Now, BRS is focusing on the Muslim votes as the community is reportedly looking for alternative options in the elections given the political situation in their respective constituencies.
Referring to the same thing in his speech, KCR said that it stands for secular values, peace and communal harmony. He further added that his party would take along and work with those who wish for the same.
He went on to say that BRS was working for the development of all the communities and wanted to see smiles on the faces of all the communities people in the state.
